    VISION

We aim to inspire young people to both participate in and enjoy physical activity.  By learning key skills and gaining a breadth of experience, students are prepared not only for sport, but for life in and out of school.

We aim to provide students with the widest possible experience of physical activity in Years 7, 8 and 9 with a greater degree of specialisation in Years 10 and 11.  We ensure pupils participate and enjoy PE in order for them to improve and learn key skills and experiences that not only prepare them for sport, but also life in and out of school.

“Growing up, my passion has always been football; I have played since the age of 7.  At that time there were no female teams available, so I had to play in the boys’ school team.  This is why I feel it is so great for students now, because all sports have developed massively with more opportunities for all.  Sport has always been a subject I have enjoyed, and I developed very good relationships with my teachers.  This has motivated me to want to be the kind of teacher I had at school.  As a teacher, there is no greater satisfaction than building the confidence of students and seeing the progress they have made.  Currently, I am the captain of Letchworth Eagles ladies and I have been involved in coaching the girls’ team.  I feel that it is important as a role model to be physically active and healthy, as I hope that my students leave education motivated to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.”
