Safeguarding

All staff at Fearnhill are trained in Level One Safeguarding as per Hertfordshire County Council guidelines and undergo Prevent training every year. Students are encouraged to speak to any member of staff with whom they feel comfortable regarding anything that concerns them. Members of staff will then confer with a DSL for safeguarding support.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Michael Phillips.

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are:

  • Ms Cate Brown
  • Ms Rachel Brown
  • Mrs H Landsman
  • Mr T Marlow
  • Mrs Jo Martin
  • Mrs H Morewood-Corden

Please contact Mr Phillips in the first instance if you have any immediate concerns about the safety or wellbeing of any child in the school.  Mr Phillips and the other Designated Safeguarding Leads can be contacted on DSL@fearnhill.herts.sch.uk or via the school office on 01462 621200.

If it is outside of school hours, please call Hertfordshire Children’s Services on 0300 123 4043.

If you believe there is a risk of imminent danger, please call the police on 999.

All staff are required to read Keeping Children Safe in Education and the School’s Child Protection Policy every year. These policies can be viewed here.
