Title of Post:   SECOND IN SCIENCE FACULTY           

Salary Grade:   MPS/UPS + TLR 2a (£2,796)

Start Date:   September 2020

We are looking for an inspirational and innovative science teacher to take on the role of Second in Science at Fearnhill School. You will make a key contribution to the continuing success of this small but flourishing faculty; students have a positive attitude to learning and science is a popular subject at all key stages. The successful candidate will build on existing good practice to continue to raise standards and ensure positive outcomes for all our students. Specific areas of responsibility will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

You will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of how children learn
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Someone with a clear vision of the role of science in a broad and balanced curriculum

This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious teacher who wishes to develop their skills in preparation for a leadership role.

Title of Post:   SUBJECT LEADER MFL (SPANISH SPECIALIST)               

Salary Grade:   MPS/UPS plus TLR 2b*

Start Date:   September 2020              

 We are looking for a colleague with vision, determination and enthusiasm to lead Modern Foreign Languages at Fearnhill School. The department is very successful and languages are increasingly popular at GCSE and A Level. You must have a passion to see every student achieve to the best of their ability and be resolute in challenging barriers to their success. You will receive high quality CPD through our partnership with the NHTA and opportunities to contribute to whole school improvement.

You will be:

  • An experienced teacher of Spanish to GCSE and A Level
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of how children learn
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills

You will have:

  • A clear vision for the role of modern languages in the curriculum
  • Ambition to progress to a wider school leadership role

You will be responsible for:

  • Achievement and progress of students in the Modern Foreign Languages department
  • Leading your fellow colleagues and language assistants as appropriate
  • Working within the Language faculty and contributing to extracurricular enrichment

*Salary negotiable for the right candidate, to reflect agreed additional responsibilities and relevant experience.
