YEAR 7 PARENTS' EVENING - 24th May

calendar icon On the evening of Thursday 24th May there will be an opportunity for you to consult with subject staff about your childs progress. Form Tutors will also be available, but since most of these are also subject teachers, they must give priority on this occasion to pupils whom they teach. We would ask therefore that you only make appointments with pastoral staff if you are generally concerned about your child. Academic problems should be taken up with the appropriate subject teacher or head of department. If your child is on the Special Educational Needs register please make an appointment to see Mrs S. Brown.

Headteacher’s Message

on .

This week has seen the start of our annual major examination season. Students have been sitting papers in a variety of exams already. We would ask that everyone needs to ensure they are familiar with their exam timetable and requirements. Ms Smith, Examinations Officer, has worked tirelessly to provide all the information required. Please can I ask parents that they check the timetable with their child.

A delightful evening of Year 11 Drama presentations was held last week. An appreciative audience was enthralled by the gripping themes the students chose for their pieces., and it was nice to see Miss Wilkins return to see the performances.

Congratulations go to our Senior School Athletics Team who achieved a fantastic triumph at the North Herts Schools’ Athletics Finals. Competing against all the schools in the area, Fearnhill won the Senior Team Trophy. This was awarded for the best overall results for all events. Mr Finch and the PE Department were overjoyed at this result as it clearly illustrated the quality of teamwork which all the students contributed, and its our third win in four years!

Last Friday was our Year 7 Foreign Languages Trip to Boulogne. Mr Clarke reported that the day was a massive success and we thank him and the staff for arranging it.

Regards

Jed Whelan
